Compliance and paperwork

Contaminated material from this work is classed as clinical or hazardous waste. We segregate, package and remove it through registered waste carriers, and you receive the waste transfer or consignment note, which is what your duty of care under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 requires you to keep. Chemicals are used under COSHH assessments, and every job has a site-specific risk assessment and method statement.

We cover England, Scotland and Wales from our London office, with pigeon guano removal available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Pigeon guano removal: common questions

Is pigeon guano dangerous?

Accumulated guano can carry bacteria and fungal spores that are harmful if disturbed and inhaled, which is why it should be removed with proper respiratory protection.

Can you work at height?

Yes. We plan access for roofs, canopies and high-level structures and use suitable access equipment.

Will the birds come back?

Usually, unless the building is proofed. We can arrange proofing straight after the clean.

Do you need access to the whole building?

Only the affected areas and a safe route for waste removal. We plan the work around your operations and can work out of hours.

How much guano can you remove in a day?

It depends on access, how compacted it is and how far waste has to be carried. We confirm a programme after surveying the site or reviewing photos.
